THE KULINA APPROACH

Swedish Massage

Otherwise known as a “classic massage,” the Swedish massage incorporates gliding techniques, providing benefits that go beyond relaxation. This massage can help increase blood circulation, ease muscle pain, decrease stress, improve sleep, strengthen the immune system and much more.

Deep Tissue Therapy

If you’re experiencing strains or sports injuries, deep tissue therapy may be perfect for you. Through sustained pressure and slow movements, we’ll target your muscles and connective tissues to reduce tension and break up scar tissue. In addition to treating muscle pain, a deep tissue massage can also help you unwind mentally.

Sports Massage

Whether you’re new to the gym or training for your next marathon, you’ll experience many benefits from a sports massage. This service may minimize recovery time between workouts, reduce your chance of injury, increase muscle flexibility and improve overall performance. Your massage will be customized around your individual workout routine.

Trigger Point Therapy

Do you have stubborn knots or aches in your neck, back and shoulders? These spots, also known as trigger points, can cause a significant amount of discomfort and pain. We’ll locate these areas and use a combination of massage techniques to improve blood circulation, release tension and reduce pain.

Myo-Fascial Therapy

Myofascial tissue is a network that connects your joints, muscles and bones, providing overall support to your organs. This massage therapy helps chronic pain that’s caused by tightness in your myofascial tissues. We’ll locate your specific trigger points and use slow and sustained pressure to alleviate tension.

Thai Massage

For thousands of years, Thai Massage has been used as an alternative form of healing that combines yoga, breathwork and massage techniques. This service is performed on the table and floor, allowing for a wider range of massage techniques. After every session, you’ll feel deeply relaxed, relieved of tension and more flexible.

Hot Stone Massage

During this relaxing treatment, smooth, flat and heated stones are placed strategically on the body. These special stones are made of basalt, a volcanic rock that retains heat. By combining this practice with traditional massage, we can help you ease stress, relieve tension, reduce pain and increase circulation.

Cupping

Since ancient times, cupping has been used to help ease pain, circulate blood flow and release toxins. During this service, we’ll create a suction with cups on different points of  your body. This safe and non-invasive technique is recommended for those with musculoskeletal pain, soft tissue injuries and inflammation. After the treatment, you’ll notice red circles on the skin that last for 3-10 days.

Fire Cupping

Fire cupping is similar to the standard cupping practice, but involves flames that are held inside of a glass cup and quickly removed. After heated cups are placed on the skin, the air inside will cool, creating a vacuum that allows expansion of blood vessels. This procedure results in a pleasant sensation that has the ability to alleviate sore muscles, reduce stress, improve sleep, aid organ function and strengthen the immune system.

Percussive Therapy

Whether you’re looking to prevent sore muscles or accelerate recovery, percussive therapy may be perfect for you. Using a massage gun, we’ll target certain muscles to increase blood flow and speed up deep-tissue recovery. Through this approach, you can prevent the risk of serious injury, boost range of motion and improve overall athletic performance.

Active & Passive Stretching

During an active and passive stretching session, we’ll customize the time around your individual lifestyle and goals. Using guided hands-on and hand-off techniques, you can improve flexibility, enhance sports performance and reduce tension. At every point, we’ll communicate with you to ensure comfort and a painless experience.

Posture Analysis

Good posture not only builds confidence,  but also reduces headaches, strengthens athleticism, improves blood circulation and more. To better understand your posture, we’ll conduct an analysis, examining your alignment, movement and asymmetries. After your session, we’ll provide recommendations that will help improve overall posture.
